Description

At the beginning of the 20th century, painters were drawn to the North Sea coast of the province of Zeeland. Every summer an artists’ colony gathered in the charming seaside resort of Domburg on Walcheren. Hart Nibbrig even had a summer house built in nearby Zoutelande in 1911. From a high vantage point in the dunes he painted the sweltering summer light.
