Interior

Description

This interior captures the subtle play of luminous tones in an ordinary domestic setting. Such a presentation, along with a delicate handling of forms, typifies Gwen John’s work from this period. John rendered Interior either in Meudon or Paris, France, several years after her Corner of the Artist Room, Paris (about 1907–9).
