Portrait of William E. Henley

Description

A poet and dramatist, William Henley (1849–1903) was the editor of the British Magazine of Art from 1882 to 1886. He enthusiastically introduced Rodin's sculpture to his readers, even before the artist's work was well known in Paris. To thank him, Rodin made this bust.
