Indian Basket Lamp

Description

An admirer of Native American art, Louis Comfort Tiffany amassed a personal collection of textiles, baskets, and pottery, from which he and his designers drew inspiration. He was particularly interested in the way basket weavers formed their patterns using geometric grids, a look he re-created in designs for lamps, such as the Indian Basket lamp.
