Barnet by Tram

Description

Now part of the city of London, Barnet still features a number of parks, open spaces, and stables. In 1922 the Underground did not extend to Barnet and many other outlying areas, but you could journey there by electric tram—more commonly called a streetcar or trolley in the United States—which traveled on a recessed rail in the roads.
Charles Paine frequently used large blocks of unmodulated color and simplified forms, factors that help to make his posters so eye-catching and effective.
