Maria Böhmer (born 23 April 1950) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Under the leadership of successive ministers Frank-Walter Steinmeier (2013-2017) and Sigmar Gabriel (2017), she served as Minister of State in the Federal Foreign Office, primarily responsible for cultural relations and education policy.

Boilly, Louis-Léopold

Louis-Léopold Boilly (French pronunciation: [lwi leɔpɔl(d) bwɑji] ; 5 July 1761 – 4 January 1845) was a French painter and draftsman. A creator of popular portrait paintings, he also produced a vast number of genre paintings documenting French middle-class social life. His life and work spanned the eras of monarchical France, the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Empire, the Bourbon Restoration and the July Monarchy. His 1800 painting Un Trompe-l'œil introduced the term trompe-l'œil ("trick the eye"), applied to the technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions, though the "unnamed" technique itself had existed in Greek and Roman times.

Boilvin, Émile

The Société d'aquarellistes français (English: Society of French Watercolourists), often in uncontracted form as Société des aquarellistes français, was an association of painters in watercolour in nineteenth-century France. It held annual exhibitions of works by members; the first of these was held in the gallery of Paul Durand-Ruel at 16 rue Laffitte, Paris, in 1879. The society ceased to be active in 1896.
